[05 Jan 2010|10:22pm] blairasb Just got back to work after 10 days off (3 paid vacation days, 1 personal choice holiday, regular holidays and weekends= LONG ASS BREAK WHERE I DIDN'T LOSE ANY PAY... Yay!)\ And I'm feeling ready for another one... Monday was my first day back. Before I left, I had my desk VERY under control. Everything that could be sent out for recording was sent. I rubberbanded all the remaining paperwork into groups and put postits with explanations of what needed done on them. I come back to COMPLETE FUCKING CHAOS. My boss was supposed to be taking care of things for me during the four business days while I was away. Yolanda and Angie told me that they both pointed out to Anita, my boss, that there was things there that probably needed her attention. she didn't do ANYTHING. As a result, there are multiple deeds recording late and more that probably will record late because she couldn't be bothered to read the post-it that said "THESE NEED POSTINGS". Yesterday I worked from 8:30am, no breaks , no lunch until about 6:50 pm. today I worked from 8:30 to 6:40 PM, again no lunches, no breaks). I am REALLY irritated by the situation. BUT all my busting my ass isn't going unnoticed. I get the feeling that I might be coming up on being a favorite.... My boss is buying me lunch at Olive garden tomorrow for the whole no time for lunch, working way over, etc... thing, And while we were in the office alone, she told me a couple of things that nobody else is supposed to know yet: 1- they're talking to a real estate agent about getting a larger, more "office-y" office (current office is TINY, and has a counter top instead of desks, plus we dont' have ANY place to put the new girl who started yesterday. She's got a folding table in anita's office.... Also, they are FINALLY looking at hiring basically another me. Somebody else who can take some of my workload. Which is greatbecause apparently WE HAVE LANDED ANOTHER BIG CLIENT. Yay! post comment

2009 in review [02 Jan 2010|10:48pm] blairasb So here's all the stuff that happened in 2009... Was in love. Thought maybe he was Mr Right... Fell out of love, but it was still a big step for me. New "career type" job Kicking butt at my new job. Moved Andy back to a show barn Got my first apartment. It wasn't a lot of stuff, but it was some big stuff for me. Hopefully 2010 will continue down the right path and maybe even be an improvement? post comment
